Why Birth Photography?
There were so many times during my early years as a Doula that I recounted a mother’s birth story to her from my perspective and she was stunned and in awe of herself hearing me describe how she roared through her labor and delivered her baby, handled challenging moments with grace, her partner’s look on their face witnessing their baby come into the world, and her entire birth team’s expressions of shock, pure respect, and admiration observing her strength.
One doula client reached down for her baby, instinctively maneuvered them, and then pulled them up to her chest without any assistance or instruction from her birth team. When I described this to her at our postpartum visit, she couldn’t believe it! After the hormonal rush of labor and postpartum, moments can become hazy or lost to memory that really are priceless and incredible to witness.

At Your Service
As your birth photographer, I am on call from the moment your package is booked. I typically arrive when you are in active labor (5-6 centimeters or when you call your midwife). I remain as long as you are in labor and up to 90 minutes postpartum, or after you are comfortably resting with your baby.
